In Dunsmuir there are a lot of needs in the community, one of them being food insecurities. That's one of the main programs that we support here at the resource center, the Dunsmuir Community Garden, in which we grow local organic non-GMO produce. The produce is used to support the food pantry, along with the dry goods that are supplied through the USDA Commodities program. We are state-certified so we sell the produce at the Farmers Market at a major discount so people can afford to eat healthy. We also use product from the garden to do cooking a nutritional programs, children and family garden programs.

We're not here to give handouts, we're here to give a hand up. We want to support each community member to have a goal and place and to help them achieve it.
